Bodlair House

Bodlair house was owned by a hotelier and interior designer. Thc project lasted 12 years with an international team of restoration artists and a specialised glass maker who trained on the reconstruction of the classical buildings in Dresden in a post war Germany.

Bodlair House was featured on a design program on the BBC and has been used on many photo shoots and film sets. The lime and decorative plaster work, and the wood carving  was by an Englishman who had learned his craft working within the strict conservation rules in rural France. Metal design and fabrication from Ireland and Italy and decorators from across the UK.

Stuff from all over the world from the extremely well traveled designer. The marriage of traditional know-how and the courageous  amount of experimentation led to the house felling like the best 5 star you could ever hope to stay in.
